Black Watch Plaid Yay Or Nay

Hi,

bought a black watch plaid traditional long skirt in Dublin in the 90's. Unfortunately it no longer fits me, but I save it for the sentimental value. First trip ever there.

PS Don't wear this as an ensemble, unless you want to look like some drunken Scotswoman????
Please help.
